Laxminarayan Dev Yuvak Mandal Chicago (LNDYM), formerly known as Shree Ghanshyam Bal Yuvak Mandal (SGBYM), is the youth-wing of our temple guided by His Holiness 108 Bhavi Acharya Shree Nrigendraprasadji Maharaj. Originally established in 1991 as ISSO Youth Mandal of Chicago, LNDYM conducts weekly Gujarati classes and Hinduism classes where topics regarding Sanatan Dharma and the Swaminarayan Sampraday are covered. These topics are then used to highlight to the youth how they can keep Shriji Maharaj in their daily lives and daily activities.

LNDYM also prepares an annual Culture Program which is performed annually at our Patotsav during Memorial Day Weekend. This is performed in the presence of countless haribhaktos, santos, and Dharmakul.

Understanding the importance of hosting activities to keep youth involved, LNDYM also hosts annual shibirs. There is an LNDYM winter shibir hosted at our temple every year along with a national shibir in the summer with a different host every year. We have had the opportunity to host three LNDYM national shibirs in 2014, 2017, and 2022.

On a daily basis, LNDYM is involved in various seva around the temple, including food prep, food serving, IT support, decorations, cleaning, and much more. LNDYM will continue playing an active role in the upkeep of our temple’s activities
