A special padyatra (a spiritual journey on foot) commenced with great enthusiasm and devotion to honor the upcoming 32nd Patotsav (anniversary of temple establishment by P.P.D.D. 1008 Acharya Shri Ajendraprasadji Maharaj of Shri Laxminarayan Dev Gadi – Vadtal) of Vadtal Dham – Shri Swaminarayan Temple in Wheeling, IL. The auspicious event kicked off at 7 am on a blissful Sunday, May 14, starting from the Walmart located in Wheeling. Devotees from all walks of life gathered together, eager to partake in this sacred procession, where they had the wonderful opportunity to chant Shri Swaminarayan Mahamantra Dhun and joyously carry the divine murti of Thakorji with reverence as they gracefully treaded their path towards the magnificent mandir.

The atmosphere resonated with divine melodies and the rhythmic chants of the devotees, infusing the air with spirituality and bliss. The padyatra not only symbolized a collective expression of love and devotion to Shriji Maharaj but also served as a beautiful reminder of the importance of spiritual unity and togetherness in our lives. As the devotees proceeded on this sacred pilgrimage, their hearts filled with immense joy and spiritual connection, transforming the journey into an unforgettable experience of devotion and oneness.

Upon reaching mandir, the devoted congregation gathered for a heartfelt Aarti, an offering of light and prayers to the deity, expressing their deepest reverence and gratitude. The divine blessings showered upon them as they immersed themselves in the celestial ambiance of the temple. Following the Aarti, the devotees were treated to a sumptuous breakfast, nourishing both body and soul after the soul-stirring journey.

The special significance of the day did not end with the padyatra; it coincided with Mother’s Day, an occasion to honor and appreciate the relentless love and dedication of all the hardworking mothers. During the evening Satsang Sabha (spiritual gathering), a beautiful gesture was made to acknowledge the presence of all the women in attendance. Each female was given the cherished opportunity to perform Samuh Aarti, adding a sense of divinity and celebration to the already momentous occasion. The divine grace and love experienced during this day resonated in the hearts of all devotees, leaving them with a profound sense of joy, gratitude, and spiritual fulfillment.
