The atmosphere at Vadtal Dham – Shri Swaminarayan Temple, Wheeling, on Saturday, January 28th, was imbued with a sense of devotion and divine splendor as devotees gathered to celebrate the auspicious occasions of Shri Hanuman Charitram and Shakotsav. The renowned Shri Ajaybhai Yagnik graced the event with his divine presence and melodious voice as he recited the Hanuman Charitram, captivating the audience with the narration of the entire Sundarkand. His soulful rendition of the divine praises of Lord Hanuman left everyone mesmerized and immersed in the devotion for the mighty Lord. Yagnikji holds our mandir, established by P.P.D.D. 1008 Acharya Shri Ajendraprasadji Maharaj and the first Vadtal Gadi mandir in the United States, with a special place in his heart.

The significance of Shri Hanuman Charitram lies in the divine life journey of Lord Hanuman, the epitome of devotion and selflessness. His unwavering loyalty and dedication to Lord Ram make him the ideal devotee, inspiring millions to follow the path of righteousness and faith. The Shakotsav on this day was lovingly sponsored by Shri Laxminarayan Dev Mahila Mandal (LNDMM) – the esteemed women’s wing of the temple. The women, in their unwavering devotion and dedication, organized the grand event, serving as a beautiful example of how divine grace flows through every act of selfless service and devotion.

The Shakotsav celebration not only filled the temple with the aroma of delectable delicacies but also symbolized the devotees’ offering of their love and gratitude to the divine deities.
