Shri Hari Charnarvind Mahotsav, a joyous and spiritually significant festival, was celebrated with utmost devotion and enthusiasm on Sunday, January 22nd at the divine Vadtal Dham ~ Shri Swaminarayan Temple, Wheeling, IL. The occasion commemorated a divine moment over 200 years ago when Bhagwan Shri Swaminarayan imprinted His lotus feet, leaving a sacred imprint that continues to inspire and uplift devotees to this day. The temple sanctum resonated with the echoes of devotional songs and prayers, as devotees gathered to pay homage to the holy imprint and experience the divine presence of the Supreme Lord.
Pujan (worship) and pradakshina (circumambulations) were performed with utmost reverence and devotion to the sacred imprint. This sacred relic, beautifully preserved at the temple, serves as a potent reminder of the profound love and grace of Bhagwan Shri Swaminarayan, inspiring devotees to walk the path of righteousness and devotion. Amidst the celebrations, the auspicious day also marked the joyous celebration of the 11th birthday of the beloved 10th direct descendant of Bhagwan Shri Swaminarayan, P.P. Bal Lalji Shri Yagnendraprasadji Maharaj. The temple premises echoed with joyous laughter and celebrations, as young and old alike came together to offer their prayers to Bal Lalji Maharajshrij. It was a moment of immense joy and gratitude, as the divine lineage continues to bless and guide the devotees on their spiritual journey, directly under the leadership of P.P.D.D. 1008 Acharya Shri Ajendraprasadji Maharaj of Shri Laxminarayan Dev – Vadtal Gadi.
